Activists in occupied Shabwa warned, on Saturday, of an environmental disaster that threatens the lives of residents because of the occurrence of a serious leakage of crude oil in the province.
The activists explained, in photos and videos they shared, that large quantities of crude oil leaked from a pipeline in Ghurair area of Al-Rawdah district, east of the occupied Shabwa governorate.
They pointed out that “the pipeline was destroyed by “Wicom” company, which resumed pumping crude oil from Safer in Marib to Al-Nashima, south of Shabwa, to transport crude oil to Aden and operate the PetroMasila electric power station that runs on crude oil fuel, while the company did not carry out any maintenance pipe before starting pumping.
They affirmed the ignoring of the mercenary authorities loyal to the occupation in Shabwa the issue of the serious oil leakage that began to destroy agricultural lands there, and the lack of action of the mercenary officials in the province in order to force the company to maintain the pipeline or stop pumping.
