YSMO rejects shipment of biscuits stuffed with dates contrary to specifications
Yemen Standardization, Meteorology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO) through its branch in Hodeida has refused to enter a shipment of biscuits stuffed with dates supported by vitamins and minerals contrary to standard specifications.
The authority stated in a statement issued on Saturday that the shipment of 47,600 cartons of biscuits stuffed with dates violates the approved standard specifications.
It stressed that all cadres of the Authority in the main center and branches are working continuously to preserve the health and safety of the consumer and prevent the arrival of contrary shipments in the country.
It called on all traders to exercise caution to ensure all required specifications and good storage to avoid destruction and rejection. Pointed out the Authority works to tighten the control and inspection of the entry of materials and goods into the local market and ensure that they conform to the approved specifications.
