The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said: The Israeli enemy authorities demolished 318 facilities in the occupied West Bank during the first half of the current year 2024, and distributed notices to demolish 359 other facilities, and uprooted about 10,000 trees.
The authority added in a statement on Tuesday that the Israeli enemy authorities “carried out 243 demolition operations in the first half of this year, during which they demolished 318 facilities in the West Bank, including the city of Jerusalem, and 632 people were harmed as a result, including 292 children and 199 women.”
According to the Commission, “the Israeli enemy authorities issued 359 notices to demolish Palestinian facilities under the pretext of not having a license.”
It pointed out that “Israeli enemy forces and settlers carried out 7,681 attacks, including 1,334 carried out by settlers, causing the death of 7 Palestinians.”
It confirmed that “the Israeli enemy authorities studied, between depositing and approving, a total of 83 structural plans for expanding settlements or establishing new colonies, including 39 plans for West Bank colonies, and 44 plans for colonies in Jerusalem.”
The statement of the “Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission” quoted its head, Muayad Shaaban, as saying that “the reality of the West Bank lands, including Jerusalem, has actually entered a very sensitive stage.”
It added, “The danger of what the Israeli enemy is doing these days is represented by the legislative and legal incubator, through which the Israeli enemy is striving to install measures with a strategic dimension, aiming to control and annex large sectors of the Palestinian territories.”
