A Pentagon spokesman announced that US soldiers were injured in a missile attack on Ain al-Assad air base in Iraq, noting that their health condition is still unknown.

Earlier on Monday, press sources reported that three explosions had occurred at Ain al-Assad base in Anbar, western Iraq, “resulting from missile and drone strikes.”

According to the “security telegram,” Ain al-Assad base was targeted by two missiles and a drone at 21:00 local time.

In the same context, a US military official told Al-Mayadeen that his country “has taken note of reports of explosions near Ain al-Assad base,” adding that he “does not have any additional information at this time.”

This attack comes after an American aggression on Jurf al-Sakhar, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of Popular Mobilization Forces members.
