About Al-Qassam Tight Ambush in Gaza: Israelis “Aren’t Safe”
More than 300 days on the Brutal Israeli war on Gaza, Palestinian resistance is still powerful enough to hurt the Zionist enemy both in the besieged territory and in the settlements bordering the besieged enclave.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas resistance movement, published on Wednesday a video entitled “Al-Faraheen-2”, showing fighters carrying out a tight ambush in Al-Faraheen area, east of Gaza’s Khan Younis.
The video started with Al-Qassam fighter addressing the Israeli occupation: “You are not safe in this area from which you have displaced its people, and it is forbidden for you, you are not safe from it or in it.”
Another fighter appeared preparing Sejjil explosive device, which was locally made in the Gaza Strip, according to the footage.
As an Israeli unit approached the device, it went went off, the video shows, with one of the fighters chanting: “For the eyes of Abu Al-Abed,” referring to Ismail Haniyeh, the former of head of Hamas’ politburo, who was martyred in Tehran last week.
The video also showed evacuation of at least four Israeli soldiers from the scene of the ambush.
The ambush dates back to Monday, August 5, the video stated. What makes the ambush interesting is the fact that it took place at the furthest point east of Khan Younis, in a so-called ‘buffer zone’ very close to the fence separating the occupied territories from Gaza.
After the video was published, a source within Al-Qassam Brigades said that the Sejjil device was made up of explosive materials taken from unexploded missiles fired from the Israeli occupation throughout the war.
Later on Thursday, Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihd resistance group, published a video showing fighters firing a barrage of rockets towards Israeli settlements in Gaza envelope.
