The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that the vaccines entering the Gaza Strip do not meet the required level to confront epidemics in the Strip.

In press statements, the Red Crescent said: “The occupation’s cutting off of health supplies and children’s vaccines increases the spread of epidemics in the Strip,” noting that all age groups suffer from the consequences of the difficult health situation.

It called for a humanitarian crossing open around the clock to save patients in the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health announced yesterday, Friday, the registration of the first case of polio virus in the Gaza Strip, in the city of Deir al-Balah, for a 10-month-old child who had not received any polio vaccination dose, while the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” called for a 7-day truce in the Gaza Strip to vaccinate more than 640 thousand children under the age of ten against the “polio” virus that was recently discovered in sewage water in the Strip.
