The Director of Nutrition at UNICEF, Anthony Lake, announced today, Thursday, that more than 50,000 children in the Gaza Strip suffer from severe malnutrition.

Lake said in a press statement: “More than 50,000 children in Gaza suffer from severe malnutrition and need immediate treatment.”

He added that the war on Gaza and the restriction of the humanitarian response have led to a complete collapse of the food and health systems.

The Israeli enemy army has been waging a large-scale war on the Gaza Strip for the 11th consecutive month, causing an extremely difficult inhumane living crisis for the people of the Strip, whose number exceeds two million and 100 thousand, including the implementation of a starvation policy, especially in the Gaza and North governorates.
