The number of arrest campaigns carried out by the Israeli enemy army since October 7, 2023 has risen to more than 11,400 arrests in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, including 750 children.

The Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Authority, the Palestinian Prisoners Club, and the Addameer Prisoner Care and Human Rights Foundation said in a joint statement today, Tuesday, that “the number of arrests among women has reached about 430,” noting that “this data does not include the number of women who were arrested from Gaza, whose number is estimated in the dozens.”

Regarding the arrest of journalists, the prisoners’ institutions indicated that “the number of arrests and detentions among journalists since the beginning of the war of extermination has reached 129 journalists, of whom 58 remain in detention, including 6 female journalists, and at least 29 journalists from Gaza whose identities the institutions were able to verify.”

The statement indicated that “the ongoing arrest campaigns are accompanied by escalating crimes and violations, in addition to field executions, including members of the families of detainees,” explaining that “the highest cases of arrest were recorded in the governorates of Jerusalem and Hebron.”

It indicated that “these numbers, related to cases of arrest in the West Bank, include those who were kept in detention by the occupation, and those who were later released, as well as all those who were arrested from their homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.”

The statement pointed out that “at least 41 prisoners have been martyred inside the prisons of the Israeli enemy since October 7, and their identities have been revealed and announced, in addition to dozens of detainees from Gaza who were martyred in prisons and camps, and the occupation did not disclose their identities and the circumstances of their martyrdom, in addition to dozens who were subjected to field executions.”

The statement explained that “39 prisoners who were martyred and announced since the beginning of the war of extermination have their bodies withheld, and they are among 50 martyred prisoners whose bodies the occupation continues to hold, and whose identities have been announced.”

These data do not include the number of arrests from Gaza, according to the prisoners’ institutions, noting that the enemy admitted to arresting more than 4,500 Palestinians from Gaza, hundreds of whom were released.

The number of prisoners and detainees in the enemy’s prisons is more than ten thousand and 100, until the beginning of October 2024, according to the prisoners’ institutions.

The number of female prisoners whose identities are known is 94, including 3 from Gaza whose identities are known and who are in Al-Damon prison, while the number of administrative detainees is 29, while the number of children is no less than 270.

Before October 7, 2023, the total number of prisoners in prisons exceeded 5,250, the number of female prisoners is 40, while the number of children in prisons is 170, and the number of administrators is about 1,320.

The occupied West Bank is witnessing continuous raids by the occupation forces, interspersed with field confrontations, which resulted in the arrest of thousands of Palestinians and the deaths of hundreds of martyrs, coinciding with a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which left tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of whom are children and women.

The death toll in the West Bank has risen to 760 martyrs since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, including 18 women and 166 children.
