The American company Microsoft fired two of its employees who organized a solidarity vigil inside the company’s headquarters in Washington in honor of the Palestinian victims in the Gaza Strip.
The two dismissed Microsoft employees, Abdo Muhammad and Hossam Nasr, said in media statements today, Saturday, that they organized a solidarity vigil at the company’s headquarters “to honor the victims of the genocide in Gaza and draw attention to Microsoft’s complicity in this genocide.”
They explained that this solidarity vigil was similar to other donation campaigns approved by Microsoft and organized for employees in solidarity, and indicated that they received news of the dismissal a few hours after the solidarity vigil.
Microsoft announced in a statement following the incident that “some employees were fired according to internal policy,” and refused to publish details about the incident.
It is worth noting that the Israeli enemy “army” uses Amazon cloud servers and artificial intelligence systems from Microsoft and Google to classify and filter information as data stored about Palestinians in the Gaza Strip increases.
