Louise Waterridge, the spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said on Friday that there has not been enough aid in the Gaza Strip throughout the brutal Israeli war that has been going on for 13 months, and that the living conditions of the Palestinians are “unbearable.”
She added in press statements, “There is simply not enough humanitarian aid in Gaza, not only during the last days and weeks, but also throughout the brutal Israeli war that has been going on for 13 months.”
Describing the situation in the Gaza Strip, Waterridge said, “We are surrounded every day by people asking for pieces of bread, trying to reach water.”
She stressed that the situation in which the Palestinians were forced to live in the Strip is “unbearable.”
Recently, international and UN organizations warned of an official declaration of famine in the northern Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocide since October 5, coinciding with a comprehensive military siege that has prevented food, water, and medicine supplies from entering it.
