More than 86 martyrs and wounded as a result of the Zionist aggression on the Syrian city of Palmyra

A Syrian military source confirmed today, Wednesday, “the martyrdom of 36 people and the injury of more than 50 others in the toll of an aggression launched by the Zionist enemy entity on Palmyra in the center of the country.

The source said that “at 03:13 in the afternoon today, the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression from the direction of Tanf area, targeting a number of buildings in the city of Palmyra in the Syrian desert.”

In addition to the martyrs and wounded, the ministry indicated that significant material damage occurred to the targeted buildings and the surrounding area as a result of the occupation’s aggression.

The Syrian “SANA” agency reported that an Israeli aggression targeted the city of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs, and it was reported that the Israeli bombing targeted residential buildings and the industrial city there.

A few days ago, a Syrian military source confirmed that 15 people were killed and 6 others were injured, including women and children, and that significant material damage occurred to private property and targeted and neighboring buildings as a result of an Israeli aggression on a number of residential buildings in Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus and Qudsaya area in Damascus countryside.

The Zionist enemy has recently intensified its attacks on Syria, most of which focused on the capital Damascus, its countryside, and the city of Homs.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry had previously condemned the Zionist aggression, stressing that the occupation’s aggressive practices and its continued targeting of civilian areas are “the result of not taking any serious action to stop it,” renewing its call for the United Nations to “take urgent action to take firm measures to stop the aggression and hold its perpetrators accountable.”
