Civil Defense in Gaza: International organizations refuse to provide us with fuel in the “humanitarian zone”

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Gaza warned of a complete halt to the service and humanitarian interventions it provides to displaced citizens in the area that the Israeli enemy claims is “humanitarian” in the southern Gaza Strip.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Mughair, Director of Supply and Equipment in Civil Defense, said that “international organizations have refused to provide us with fuel since the beginning of the fierce Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, claiming to prevent the Israeli occupation.”
He stressed that Civil Defense is suffering from a stifling crisis due to the refusal of international organizations to provide us with fuel in the “humanitarian zone” designated southwest of the Gaza Strip, denouncing the clear marketing by these international organizations of their claims of preventing us from providing fuel under unknown pretexts.
Al-Mughair confirmed that Civil Defense crews are still providing their humanitarian services throughout the Gaza Strip with the minimum available resources and capabilities.
He stressed that until this moment we are still appealing and demanding to be provided with the necessary fuel to be able to operate our vehicles and carry out our humanitarian duty, pointing out that 13 fire and rescue vehicles stopped working this week in the southern Gaza Strip out of 22 vehicles for the same reason.
Al-Mughair warned the UN organizations and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nations that the continued prevention of providing civil defense with fuel threatens the lives of thousands of displaced people displaced by the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
