The Zionist enemy government approves a plan to increase the number of settlers in the occupied Syrian Golan

The government of the usurping Zionist entity approved, today, Sunday, a plan submitted by the criminal Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to enhance “population growth” in the settlements of the occupied Golan, with a budget of more than 40 million “shekels”.
A statement issued by the enemy government stated that the plan comes in light of “security developments and the new front with Syria”, and aims to double the number of settlers in the occupied Syrian Golan.
The decision, which was unanimously approved by the government of the usurping entity coincides with the escalation of the enemy’s aggressive attacks on Syria following the fall of Bashar al-Assad regime.
Last week, the criminal Netanyahu announced his adherence to occupy the Syrian Golan Heights, considering that the fall of Assad regime “opened a dramatic chapter in the history of the Middle East in every sense of the word”.
He continued: “I say to the generations of settlers who cling to Golan today that they all realize the importance of our presence there. Control of this area guarantees our security.”
He thanked the US President-elect, Donald Trump, for recognizing the Zionist entity’s sovereignty over Golan in 2019, stressing that Golan Heights “will forever remain an integral part of Israel.”
Since the fall of Assad regime last Sunday, the Zionist enemy has launched intensive air strikes and heavy bomb raids targeting various areas of Syria, including the capital Damascus, the countryside of Hama, Aleppo, and Daraa.
The Zionist entity took advantage of the fall of Assad regime and expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by occupying the buffer zone.
The Zionist enemy’s Minister of Defense, Yisrael Katz, announced last Friday that he had issued orders to “the army to prepare to stay” throughout the winter in the buffer zone in Syrian Golan.
