Informed sources revealed, today, Wednesday, the details of an attempt to steal humanitarian aid trucks that entered the Gaza Strip through the border crossings, at dawn today.
The sources explained that security personnel succeeded in securing dozens of trucks loaded with humanitarian aid, after they crossed the border crossings, and delivering them to their designated locations, after groups of “thieves” tried to steal and control them.
The sources reported that 3 people were killed and 9 injured by thieves and bandits after they tried to intercept and steal humanitarian aid trucks and sell them in the markets for exorbitant sums, adding:
“The dead arrived at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, as a result of their attempt to (“steal”) humanitarian aid trucks entering the Strip.”
Last week, one person was killed and 50 others, including 3 women, were injured in an attempt to steal aid trucks in Khan Younis.
Last month, the security services in the Gaza Strip carried out a security campaign in the Khan Younis area targeting groups and gangs specialized in blocking roads and stealing aid.
The security services stressed that they would punish with an iron fist anyone involved in helping gangs of thieves.
