The infant “Sila Mahmoud al-Fasih” died after freezing to death in the tents of Mawasi Khan Yunis, southwest of the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that the infant al-Fasih died last night after freezing to death in one of the tents of Mawasi Khan Yunis.

Last Friday, the infant girl Aisha al-Qassas died “20 days ago” due to the severe cold that swept through her tent in Mawasi Khan Yunis area, after the enemy forced her family to move from their home to the tents.

More than one and a half million displaced people are living in extremely poor humanitarian conditions in light of the severe shortage of basic necessities of life and water and food supplies.

The suffering of the displaced, especially those living in worn-out tents made of cloth or nylon and in shelters, is exacerbated by the low-pressure systems that are hitting the Gaza Strip, as they are unable to warm their children’s bodies due to the lack of supplies, while the rains are flooding many of their tents.

The Israeli enemy continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the martyrdom of 45,338 citizens, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of 107,764 others, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue teams cannot reach them.
