Demonstrators in Italy expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people against the Israeli war of extermination they are being subjected to.
This came in a demonstration in the capital, Rome, and another in the city of Milan, denouncing the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the West Bank.
Thousands of demonstrators gathered in “Vittorio Emanuele” Square in central Rome, carrying Palestinian flags and banners calling for “erasing collective wills from history.”
The demonstrators set off on a march towards “Fori Imperiali” Street, chanting slogans against the Israeli attacks on Gaza, and others expressing solidarity with the Palestinians, such as “Free Palestine” and “Israel is a fascist and terrorist state.”
The head of the Palestinian community in Rome, Youssef Salman, said that the ceasefire is a positive step, pointing out the absence of any political solution to the crisis.
In Milan, a similar march was launched in support of Palestine, where participants stressed that the ceasefire in Gaza does not cancel out the enemy’s crimes committed there.
