The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death by the Zionist attacks on citizens who tried to enter their villages in the south of the country after the deadline for the Zionist enemy’s withdrawal had expired, had risen to 22 martyrs and 124 wounded, including 9 children and a paramedic.
The ministry said in a statement today, Sunday, that 22 citizens, including a soldier, were martyred and 124 others were wounded by the occupation’s fire while trying to return to their occupied towns in the south of the country, after the end of the 60-day deadline for the Israeli army to withdraw from the south under the ceasefire agreement between Tel Aviv and Beirut.
At dawn on Sunday, the 60-day deadline for the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy “army” that had penetrated southern Lebanon ended, according to the ceasefire agreement that entered into force on November 27, 2024, while the Zionist forces continued their presence in some border areas in southern Lebanon, in clear violation of the agreement. Since the early hours of the morning today, the entrances to the border villages witnessed gatherings of hundreds of residents, who were confronted by the Zionist enemy forces with bullets while trying to return to their villages. According to a statement by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the victims were distributed in the following areas: “Two martyrs, a female martyr, and 12 wounded in Aitaroun, a martyr and two wounded in Blida, 3 martyrs and 14 wounded in Houla, a female martyr, two martyrs, and 12 wounded in Markaba, a martyr and 15 wounded in Kfar Kila, a martyr and 6
wounded in Adaisseh, a soldier martyr in Dhuhayrah, and a martyr, a female martyr, and 7 wounded in Mays al-Jabal.”
In addition to “two wounded in Bani Hayyan, one in Maroun al-Ras, one in Shaqra, one in Deir Mimas, one in Rab Talatin, wounded in Taybeh, and 7 in Yaroun.”
The Lebanese army called on residents on Saturday to wait before heading towards the southern border areas, in anticipation of the presence of mines and suspicious objects left behind by the Israeli army, accusing Israel of procrastinating in withdrawing from those areas.
