The American Wall Street Journal said that the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas wants to send a message to the world that it is still responsible for the Gaza Strip, by turning the release of prisoners into a “humiliating scene for Israel.”
Its report stated that this pattern began with the release of the first Israeli prisoners, when crowds of men gathered around Hamas vehicles carrying the “Israeli” female prisoners, which made them run to the Red Cross officials who were waiting for them to take them to their homes.
The newspaper saw that Hamas’s release of two female prisoners from in front of the ruins of the house of the head of the movement’s political bureau, the martyr Yahya Sinwar, was Hamas’s raising of the bet, as was the case with its release of 3 prisoners, who it said struggled to get out of Hamas vehicles because of the crowds, especially since the Red Cross vehicles were not nearby this time.
The newspaper claimed that “Hamas is trying to make every prisoner release a complicated event, showing its strength and humiliating its enemy, and that it is thus threatening to disrupt the fragile ceasefire.”
The Wall Street Journal indicated that the enemy authority responded angrily to this offer, and said that it would not release the 110 Palestinian prisoners that it was supposed to release, but the
mediators rushed to keep the deal together, and in the end the enemy released the prisoners.
The Prime Minister of the enemy entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, said, “I look with great seriousness at the horrific scenes during the release of our hostages, and I demand that the mediators ensure that such horrific scenes are not repeated and that the safety of our hostages is guaranteed.”
The newspaper reported that the Israelis in a square in “Tel Aviv” were shocked when they saw the Palestinian crowd on a large screen, but they quickly shouted with joy when they saw the prisoners on their way to freedom.
The newspaper concluded by saying that the possibility of negotiations between the temporary entity and Hamas to reach a permanent end to the fighting in Gaza has become doubtful, although it is expected that the two sides will begin negotiating a permanent deal next Monday, which would end the war and witness the release of the remaining “Israeli” prisoners.
