Salama Maarouf, head of the government media office, confirmed that no caravans, heavy equipment or machinery have entered the Gaza Strip so far from those on the Egyptian side of Rafah crossing, expressing his hope that they will enter in the coming hours according to the assurances of the relevant parties.

Maarouf said in a press statement on Friday: We are following the enemy’s behavior and keeping the mediators informed of its violations daily, and we are waiting for it to abide by its commitments in the ceasefire agreement, and to begin introducing all the requirements included in the humanitarian protocol in the specified types and quantities and the dates set for that.

He pointed out that the catastrophic humanitarian and living reality that our people in the Gaza Strip are suffering from as a result of the war of extermination and ethnic cleansing waged by the occupation over the course of 15 months, does not tolerate procrastination and delay in introducing shelter requirements and other needs such as fuel, heavy equipment, medical devices and equipment, and infrastructure restoration materials.

He pointed out that nearly one and a half million people have become homeless after their homes were destroyed, while all the residents of the Gaza Strip, numbering 2.4 million people, are suffering from the lack of the most basic life services and the absence of infrastructure.
