The families of Zionist prisoners in the Gaza Strip attacked the decision of the enemy’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the entry of aid to the Gaza Strip, stressing that it is shocking and puts the lives of prisoners at risk.
The newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” quoted the families of prisoners, accusing Netanyahu of seeking to thwart the second phase of the deal by stopping aid, which will put the fate of the prisoners in a dark tunnel and threaten to resume the war.
The newspaper said that the dramatic Israeli decision to stop the entry of aid was a shock to the families of the prisoners.
“Macabiton Meir”, the aunt of the prisoners “Ziv and Gali Berman”, said that the decision puts the prisoners in the unknown, noting that she does not imagine the possibility of returning to war.
She said: “We have entered the abyss, everything is subject to explosion, and in one moment this hell may fall on the prisoners and decide their fate.”
She added, “It is scary to think that the issue of prisoners is not at the top of the government’s priorities, and yet I am trying to think that things will eventually move towards the second stage of the deal, because I cannot imagine the resumption of war now… a war that will decide the fate of the prisoners.”
As for the mother of the prisoner, “Gay Gilboa,” she said that she cannot comprehend the timing of the decision, which came at a critical and extremely dangerous time for the lives of the prisoners.
She added, “I have to try to comprehend the decision; the situation is very fragile, the timing is dangerous and frightening, and my feelings are very difficult.”
