The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said it is facing significant difficulty communicating with its teams in the Gaza Strip due to the complete disruption of internet and landline services in the Strip, following the direct targeting of communication lines by Israeli forces.

In a brief statement issued Thursday, the Society added that the Emergency Operations Room is also facing difficulty coordinating with other organizations to respond to humanitarian emergencies.

The Palestinian Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) announced today that all internet and landline services in the Gaza Strip had been interrupted after the last main fiber route was targeted.

The TRC warned of the humanitarian and social consequences of the disruption, calling on all relevant local and international bodies to urgently intervene to facilitate the implementation of the necessary arrangements, enabling technical teams to safely access fault sites and carry out the required repairs.

The continued disruption exacerbates the communications crisis and prolongs the isolation imposed on the Strip.

With American support, the Israeli "army" has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 176,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
