The Secretary-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reiterated that Iran is not seeking to build nuclear weapons.

In an interview with CNN, IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi confirmed that Iran's nuclear program has not been diverted, saying: "We have no evidence of a systematic pursuit by Iran of a nuclear weapon."

Grossi had stated at a press conference in Vienna on June 9 that uranium enrichment is not a prohibited activity in and of itself; this is something my Iranian counterparts always remind me of, and it is true.

Grossi claimed that when uranium accumulates at a high level, very close to the level required for a nuclear explosive device, it cannot be ignored. That is why we monitor it with special care and focus.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) explained Atomic: "These materials do not in themselves equate to a nuclear weapon, because manufacturing a real explosive device requires an extremely complex system, including fuses and other advanced technologies."

Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi said: "The Zionist entity has been claiming for more than two decades that Iran is seeking to acquire nuclear weapons and could produce them at any moment."
