Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived last night in the Russian capital, Moscow, on an official visit during which he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, Araghchi’s visit to Moscow aims to hold consultations with the Russian president and senior officials in the country, within the framework of discussing regional and international developments following the US and Israeli military aggression against Iran.

Upon his arrival in Moscow, the Foreign Minister stated, “During my meeting with the Russian president, I will discuss joint responses to emerging threats and shared challenges.

“Given the current exceptional circumstances in the region, it is essential that Iran and Russia engage in closer, more precise, and more serious consultations,” he said.

“We will have important and serious discussions with President Putin, and I am confident that the outcomes will benefit both countries.”
