A series of explosions were heard on Monday in the skies over the Qatari capital, Doha.
The American website Axios reported that Iran launched six missiles toward US bases in Qatar.
These explosions were preceded by an announcement by the US Air Traffic Control Authority that the US Al Udeid military base on Qatari soil would be temporarily closed, in anticipation of an Iranian response to the United States.
In this context, the US Embassy in Qatar called on American citizens to find safe shelters and remain there until further notice.
