Bloomberg reported that the cost of damage incurred by Tel Aviv during the 12-day war with Iran is estimated at 10 billion shekels, or about $3 billion.
The website indicated that this cost includes the restoration of buildings hit by missiles and compensation to affected businesses, based on data from the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Authority in the Israeli occupation entity.
Official data issued by the Ministry of Finance in this context indicated that the extent of the damage demonstrates the extent to which Iranian missiles penetrated Israeli defense systems within nearly two weeks of the missile launches.
Shai Aharonovitch, Director General of the Tax Authority, said that what happened was "the greatest challenge we have faced - there has never been such a degree of damage in Israel's history."
These estimates do not include the cost of replacing weapons and defense systems used, which will likely raise the total cost to a higher level after the assessments are completed.
