Member of the Supreme Political Council, Dr Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, and Prime Minister, Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, participated in a symposium organised by the Ministry of Interior to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The symposium was titled "Drugs: Enemies' Means to Destroy the Individual and Society'.
During the symposium, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Interior for organising the awareness event and for their efforts in combatting drugs. He considered these efforts to be a protective shield for society from within, just as the armed forces are a shield to protect it from without.
In turn, the Prime Minister, Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Interior's Anti-Drug Sector in combatting trafficking methods and promoting these deadly substances.
The Deputy Minister of the Interior, Major General Abdul Majeed Al-Murtada, emphasised that drugs are one of the most dangerous problems affecting societies, particularly youth, who are the hope of the future.
