The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the ongoing Zionist aggression against Syria, the latest of which was the enemy entity’s aerial assault on the Syrian capital, Damascus, earlier Wednesday.

In a statement, the Ministry described the aggression as a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity—an open interference in its internal affairs and a clear breach of the UN Charter and international laws and conventions.

The Ministry noted that the attack comes despite the Syrian regime having made repeated concessions to the Zionist entity, sending a resounding message to Arab and Islamic nations that appeasement offers no shield against this criminal entity’s schemes and attacks.

The statement underscored that the Zionist entity remains the primary enemy of Syria and the broader Arab and Islamic world, constituting a persistent threat to both regional and international stability.

It further stressed that the Zionist regime continues to exploit the evolving situation in Syria to deplete the country's resources, seize more territory, and push forward its malign agenda.

The Ministry called on Arab and Islamic countries to adopt firm and practical measures to put an end to the Zionist assaults on Syria and Lebanon and to stop the ongoing genocide in Palestine. It emphasized that the aggression against Syria must not distract from the daily war crimes and acts of genocide being committed by the occupying Zionist entity in Gaza.
