The British strategic consulting firm Azure Strategy ,yesterday, stated in a report on its website that the recent attacks carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces on cargo ships in the Red Sea have proven beyond doubt that Yemen today has a significant influence in regional and international security equations, and that Ansarollah group is no longer merely a local force, but has become an influential regional player that the world finds difficult to ignore or overlook.

The report considered that these attacks not only demonstrate the group's military and political resilience, but also reveal a remarkable development in the tools of deterrence and maneuver it now possesses, amid profound international transformations and the gradual decline of Western hegemony.

In the report's details, Azure Strategy noted that " Ansarollah movement continues to carry out targeted strikes against commercial vessels in the Red Sea, including the Magic Seas, which was sunk after an integrated air-to-sea attack, and the Eternity Sea, which was subjected to a missile attack while transiting the Suez Canal. These operations, as the report explained, occurred amid aggressive Israeli raids targeting ports and economic sites in Hodeidah, Salif, and Ras Isa, in addition to the Ras Katheeb power station. The British company considered this a double escalation by the Zionist and American enemies, at a time when regional and international parties are seeking to impose a formal truce in Gaza that neither guarantees the dignity of the Palestinians nor halts the aggression."

The company added that these Yemeni strikes came despite the American raids on Sana'a, Sa'dah, and Hodeidah, which Washington claimed were targeting Ansarollah's defensive capabilities, but which have failed to break their will or limit their advanced capabilities. Host: After continuous US attacks between March and May, US President Donald Trump announced a sudden halt to operations in Yemen, following the US administration's failure to achieve its goals, primarily weakening Ansarollah.

The report indicated that Ansarollah is not carrying out these operations solely out of tactical considerations, but rather as part of a dual strategy. The first aims to remind the world that the Red Sea is no longer a safe passage for the Israeli occupation and its allies as long as the aggression and siege on Gaza continue.

The report acknowledges that Tehran itself does not control the decision-making process in Sana'a, as Ansarollah operates with the logic of an independent state and possesses the influence and capabilities that enable it to overpower even its allies, given its reliance on its own military and economic infrastructure.

In this context, the report revealed that Ansarollah has been able to expand its alliances to include major powers such as Russia and China, which has strengthened its capabilities at the military and political levels. The report indicated that Washington's estimates remain unable to determine the true size of Yemen's arsenal, despite growing US recognition of the Yemenis' ingenuity in innovation and self-development.

Azure Strategy confirmed that Yemen's operations in the Red Sea have had direct global economic impacts, disrupting supply lines and increasing shipping costs, as well as increasing geopolitical risks. This has impacted global economic performance, with maritime insurance rates rising and ship transit times significantly increasing. This has led to clear Western disquiet, which all deterrence attempts have failed to mitigate. While Western media attempts to downplay Yemen, the reality of its naval activity from November 2023 to December 2024 confirms that it has carried out more than 100 successful operations against commercial and military vessels.
