The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said it has sufficient food stocks for the entire population of the Gaza Strip for more than three months, but they are still in warehouses awaiting entry.
The agency explained in a post on the X platform on Saturday that these supplies, including some stored in a warehouse in the Egyptian city of Arish, are ready for distribution, noting that logistical systems are in place.
It called for the opening of the crossings and the lifting of the blockade, stressing its readiness to fulfill its humanitarian duty and assist the population, including one million children.
Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist enemy has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide has left more than 196,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, including children, as well as widespread destruction.
