Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza has warned it could cease operations within hours as its fuel supplies have been completely exhausted, with no deliveries in recent days.

In its statement, the hospital said the shutdown would put the lives of hundreds of patients at risk, especially children, premature babies, ICU and kidney patients, and others in critical care units. It would also cut off healthcare access for nearly half a million people in the central governorate.

The hospital called on the international community, UN agencies, and humanitarian organizations to take urgent action to secure necessary fuel and ensure continuation of medical services amid the rapid collapse of the healthcare system.
