The Bosnian capital Sarajevo witnessed a march aimed at drawing attention to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza and the starvation policy imposed by Israel on the Palestinians.
Participants gathered at Baščaršija Square before marching to the Sarajevo Children's Memorial, expressing solidarity with Palestine.
Marchers carried a large Palestinian flag and held banners with slogans such as: "Gaza is Starving While the World Watches," "Free Palestine," "Stop Killing Innocent Children," and "Children of Gaza Are Starving."
They began banging on cooking pots to symbolize hunger and to highlight the worsening humanitarian crisis and ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Earlier on Saturday, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported the deaths of five Palestinians, including two children, within 24 hours due to Israel’s starvation policy. Since October 7, 2023, the total number of deaths caused by famine and malnutrition in Gaza has risen to 127 Palestinians, including 85 children.
