Criminal Netanyahu continues to play recklessly with fire. Far from halting the aggression against the Gaza Strip, he moves unilaterally and defiantly toward the complete occupation of the territory, ignoring all humanitarian consequences and the immense cost of such an adventure.

In response to this escalation, Zionist opposition leader Yair Lapid expressed sharp disapproval of Netanyahu’s plan, warning: “The hostages will die, soldiers will die, the economy will collapse, and our international standing will crumble.”

If these are the fears voiced within the Zionist opposition, residents of Gaza face far greater dread of an uncertain and dangerous future. Signs of this have already emerged with the assassination of six journalists, including Al Jazeera correspondent Anas Al-Sharif. The fall of such prominent voices reflects the agony of a people living under severe starvation, thirst, and relentless bombardment by Israeli warplanes and artillery, which leave no respite from killing civilians and destroying all facets of life in Gaza.

Observers agree that the occupation’s intent in committing such killings is to silence the voice of truth, paving the way for an even harsher phase of operations against the Palestinian people in Gaza, without the world hearing or seeing it. This was underscored by Mohammed Abu Salmiya, Director of Al-Shifa Hospital, who stated that Israel killed the journalists “in preparation for committing a major massacre they want to carry out without sound or image.”

Abu Salmiya expressed his fear that civilians in Gaza may be massacred without anyone knowing, pointing out that the killing of journalists indicates plans for something catastrophic in Gaza City.

While many believe Netanyahu has lost his senses in pushing ahead with his goal of completely occupying Gaza, the international community remains powerless to halt this course of action—largely because what the text calls the “madman in the White House” stands fully behind Netanyahu, encouraging him to continue the campaign of genocide, starvation, and forced displacement of Gaza’s population.

Notably, some European voices have begun to emerge strongly against the war in Gaza. Italy’s Defense Minister, for instance, has called for imposing international sanctions on the Israeli entity. In contrast, Arab governments continue their policy of complicity and silence, while the Arab and Islamic public appears to be in a state of moral death—no protests, no angry marches, and no conferences in solidarity with Gaza or in opposition to the mass killings.

Defiance and Contempt for the World

By insisting on fully occupying Gaza, Netanyahu sends a clear message to an increasingly frustrated world: he is indifferent to criticism, flaunting his contempt and defiance. He is also ignoring the advice of his own military commanders, the wishes of the hostages’ families, and the views of the majority of the Zionist settlers.

In a statement viewed as an insult to human intelligence, Netanyahu claimed that his military plan is not aimed at occupying Gaza but rather at “liberating it from Hamas.” The narrative echoes the Saudi-American coalition’s justification for its war on Yemen since 2015, in which it claimed to be “liberating Yemen from Yemenis.”

Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist enemy has not sought a limited confrontation with the Islamic resistance in Gaza. Its stated goal has been to defeat Hamas and force its surrender. Netanyahu has not acted alone—he has had the backing of the United States, NATO, and Arab and Muslim leaders of treachery and betrayal. Despite employing every means possible, from brutal crimes against civilians to a crippling siege, the objective has so far failed.

Continued escalation in Gaza will bring more forced displacement, more killing, unbearable suffering, senseless destruction, and massacres. As France’s L’Humanité newspaper stated plainly: “We are witnessing one of the most criminal projects in decades, in full view of the world.”

Comparing the entity’s post–October 7 offensive to the current escalation reveals that Netanyahu has become increasingly isolated. Many Zionist settlers oppose him, a significant segment of the military disagrees with him, and he faces criticism from most world leaders—including the German chancellor, who once supported him but announced last Friday a halt to all arms sales to "Israel" that could be used in Gaza.

Global calls to end the Israeli entity’s actions in Gaza are growing louder. In recent days, Tokyo has witnessed exceptional protests, and voices in European cities are rising sharply—movements that could influence Netanyahu’s ambitions to expand at the expense of innocent civilians.

Ultimately, Netanyahu’s campaign will fail, as the Palestinian resistance in Gaza will not surrender. Its experience in confronting Zionist forces grows by the day, and the losses for the aggressors will be severe. Occupying Gaza will not be a stroll—it will be akin to sending soldiers into vast, intricate minefields, where the fortunate ones will be those who escape alive.
