The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen has strongly condemned the U.S. Department of Justice’s announcement of a financial reward targeting Venezuela’s elected President Nicolás Maduro, describing it as a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, as well as a direct assault on the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
In an official statement, the Ministry denounced the move as a clear embodiment of the United States’ arrogance and hegemonic mindset, asserting that it reflects Washington’s political bankruptcy and its growing reliance on tactics reminiscent of organized crime—after the repeated failure of its blockade and pressure campaigns.
The statement further emphasized that the Republic of Yemen, itself enduring years of brutal U.S.-Saudi aggression and blockade, fully understands the colonial mindset that shows no regard for national sovereignty or the dignity of peoples. Yemen expressed its full solidarity with the leadership and people of Venezuela in confronting this blatant act of aggression.
The Foreign Ministry called on the international community and all free nations to take a firm stand against this American arrogance, warning that it sets a dangerous precedent in international relations and poses a serious threat to global peace and security.
