Security sources have revealed that several Emirati officers stationed in Shabwa and Al-Riyan have traveled to Gaza to train mercenaries to operate on behalf of the Israeli enemy.

The sources told the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that the officers’ deployment aims to replicate in Gaza the roles they perform in Yemen: managing mercenary forces — from recruitment and mobilization to the formation of brigades and units — to participate in the Zionist enemy’s campaign against the mujahideen in Gaza.

According to the reports, the officers who command a number of mercenary factions in Yemen — including forces aligned with Tariq Afash — were nominated by UAE leadership for a 45-day tour in Gaza to train fighters in modern warfare techniques, notably the use of various types of drones, to carry out security and military operations against resistance movements, as the UAE has reportedly done in Sudan and Yemen.

The sources added that some of these officers are affiliated with the Emirates Red Crescent.

They also disclosed the presence of American officers in the occupied areas assessing the mercenaries’ readiness — an indication, the sources say, of possible plans for a new aggression against Yemen.
