The Muslim world today stands at a defining moment, facing a confrontation that transcends the boundaries of conventional warfare to reach deep into the realms of consciousness, intellect, and moral values. The struggle is no longer waged on the battlefield alone—it now targets the human being himself: his faith, his identity, his loyalties, and the ethical principles that shape his spiritual belonging.

This conflict, whose roots stretch back to the dawn of humanity, continues to reinvent itself through modern forms while retaining its ancient essence. Its origin can be traced to that primordial moment when Iblis refused to bow before Adam—an act that signaled the beginning of an enduring confrontation between two opposing visions: the divine project of guidance and the satanic project of deception.

Throughout history, the forces of falsehood have recycled the same tactics—whispering, casting doubt, and beautifying illusion—but in our age, these age-old methods have been reengineered through far more intricate tools: mass media, cultural production, and educational systems. These instruments are not merely channels of communication or learning; they have become mechanisms for reshaping belief, hollowing out conviction, and detaching values from their spiritual and moral foundation.

The battle confronting the Ummah today is not over borders or natural wealth alone—it is, at its core, a battle over the soul, over the Qur’anic consciousness that anchors its strength and identity. The Qur’an itself forewarns of this existential confrontation: “They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved, so you would be alike” (Qur’an 4:89). This verse exposes the essence of the conflict: the hostility is directed not merely at material interests, but at faith itself.

Recognizing this truth is the essential starting point for rebuilding an aware, resilient spirit of resistance—one that restores the Ummah’s spiritual compass, reclaims its cultural self-awareness, and shields it against distortion and ideological infiltration.

The Diabolic Methods of Seduction: From Adam’s Tree to Social Media

The Qur’an’s account of Adam’s story offers more than a glimpse into humanity’s origin—it exposes a timeless pattern in the art of deception. From the very beginning, Iblis waged his war through subtle persuasion rather than direct confrontation. His strategy was psychological: gradual whispering that magnified material temptation—the allure of “power” and “possession.” Step by step, he implanted the forbidden idea in the minds of Adam and Eve until he succeeded in leading them astray.

That same strategy, reborn in modern guise, thrives today through mass media, cultural institutions, and educational frameworks that package destructive ideas in polished and seductive forms. The method is ancient, the tools are new—but the goal remains unchanged: to separate humanity from divine guidance by reshaping its moral and intellectual compass.

A second weapon in this arsenal is doubt. Iblis cast suspicion on Allah’s command itself, framing Allah’s prohibition not as protection but as deprivation—denying Adam the promise of progress and immortality. The echo of that deception resounds today whenever divine principles or Islamic values are portrayed as barriers to “freedom” or “modernity.” The rhetoric surrounding women’s rights, for instance, often begins with questions of dress and soon extends to lifestyle, until modesty itself is branded as backwardness. The narrative seduces by promising liberation through exposure, as though disobedience were a form of self-realization.

A third, and perhaps most insidious, technique lies in repackaging falsehood as truth. Vice and moral decay are promoted under glittering banners: “human rights,” “personal freedom,” “women’s empowerment,” “minority inclusion.” Stripped of context and Allah’s measure, these slogans often conceal deep social corrosion. The devil’s oldest trick—the false oath—lends legitimacy to lies. In the modern world, it takes the form of political slogans, cultural campaigns, and empty promises that echo with the same deceptive sincerity once used in Eden.

These are not mere ancient tales, nor theological abstractions. They are enduring psychological principles, revived and institutionalized in today’s global order. Through media narratives, entertainment industries, and reengineered educational content, the same patterns are systematically employed to erode the spiritual immunity of Muslims and to reshape their worldview in the image of a materialist civilization—one that measures worth by consumption, not conviction.

The story of Adam, then, is not history—it is a mirror. It reveals how the oldest deception continues to reinvent itself, whispering through every new screen, promising freedom while leading humanity gently back to its fall.

Strategies of Control: From Distraction to Mind Manipulation

Modern hegemonic powers employ a sophisticated system of psychological and media strategies to control populations, steering them without their conscious awareness. It begins with the “strategy of distraction,” where people are immersed in trivialities—sports, entertainment, rumors—to divert attention from the critical issues facing the Ummah.

Next comes the “problem-creation and solution-offering strategy,” which fabricates crises—security, economic, or social—to justify pre-decided policies. Under the pressure of fear, people accept measures they would otherwise reject. Among the most effective tools is “gradualism and delay,” where unacceptable decisions are introduced step by step until they appear normal—much like Iblis’ method of seducing Adam.

Audiences are treated as children: messages are simplified, reasoning is obstructed, and critical thinking is discouraged. Media relies heavily on emotional appeal, eclipsing analysis and logic. This methodology also keeps populations in a state of organized ignorance, through declining educational standards, constant entertainment, and prevention of understanding the very mechanisms of control imposed upon them.

Perhaps the most dangerous modern technique is data collection and behavioral prediction, allowing manipulators to influence individual decisions—a digital tool that opens the door to unprecedented forms of psychological enslavement in the age of technology. This system produces docile, non-thinking populations, ones that react to reality rather than shape it. This is precisely how the enemy has penetrated the societies of our Ummah: today, entire communities stand powerless in the face of atrocities committed against them, as seen in Palestine. The enemy has grown audacious enough to perpetrate these crimes openly, brazenly violating the dignity of a Ummah numbering over two billion Muslims.

Striking at Religion: Protocols of Control and the Unraveling of Identity

Targeting Islam is a cornerstone of the intellectual and political strategies employed by the enemy to weaken societies. As revealed in the infamous “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” religion remains the greatest barrier to domination, serving as a source of awareness, dignity, and independence. Consequently, these plans have relied on promoting atheism, materialism, and moral decay, portraying religious values as backward, while presenting vice as a symbol of enlightenment and progress.

For example, Zionist agendas—Christian and Jewish alike—have attempted to impose concepts contrary to the natural disposition Allah instilled in humans, from promoting pornography to systematically legitimizing sexual deviance. Humanity today faces a new chapter of moral and social destabilization, signaling even more dangerous developments ahead.

Sexual deviance, once regarded as a disorder, now finds defenders advocating for its recognition as a human right. Legal recognition of homosexuality, such as the U.S. Supreme Court decision in 2015, has increased societal acceptance, opening the door to radical shifts in ethical values. These deviations threaten not only natural disposition but also human nature itself. Related manifestations of moral decline include attempts to distort the family concept through “gender” ideologies that separate sexual identity from biological and physiological reality.

Every channel has been exploited to promote these agendas—sports, universities, schools, and cultural outlets. These are not mere calls for tolerance but direct attacks on immutable human values, as sexual deviance contradicts Allah’s wisdom in creating the sexes (male and female) for natural procreation and social responsibility, essential for building families and civilizations.

Islam, as a living religion, safeguards human dignity, preserves natural disposition, reinforces ethical values, and offers comprehensive solutions to counter these deviations. Consequently, the enemy’s efforts focus on detaching Muslim societies from their faith through dangerous agendas that undermine collective wisdom. This is evident in some Arab countries, particularly in the heart of Islam, Saudi Arabia, through the promotion of indulgence under the guise of entertainment, following decades of degrading cultural production in Egypt via films and television.

Perhaps the most insidious strategy is the control of education and media to reshape young minds. Curricula have been altered, religious content reduced, and Quranic verses addressing conflict with the People of the Book deleted. Arabic-language media is steered toward consumerist consciousness, disconnected from Islamic identity. The attack extends beyond intellectual warfare, aiming at family structures through widespread satellite broadcasting at minimal cost, making it accessible even in remote rural areas.

These strategies are not limited to cultural infiltration but extend to economics, with Arab and Muslim countries being burdened by debt and usury, creating economic and political dependency that undermines decision-making autonomy. This comprehensive system is designed to weaken the Ummah from within, eroding its capacity for resistance and fostering submission to external domination. Superficially a “soft war,” it is far deadlier than military conflict, silently destroying spiritual and intellectual immunity.

Distorting the Struggle: Misguiding the Ummah’s Compass

One of the enemy’s most dangerous tactics is diverting the Ummah’s struggle away from its true direction. Instead of confronting the Zionist occupier, efforts are deliberately funneled into internal conflicts, keeping the community preoccupied with sectarian, ethnic, or tribal disputes. This manipulation reached its peak under the so-called “War on Terror,” which framed Islam itself as a global threat, while the real objective was the occupation of Muslim lands and the distortion of their faith.

Religious concepts are deliberately redefined to mislead: “moderation” now implies compromising core principles; “extremism” is falsely attributed to those who adhere firmly to their faith; and “peace” is invoked to justify normalization with the enemy. Repetition of these terms in media and political discourse fosters a false consciousness, creating fabricated divisions such as “Sunnis versus Shiites” or “Arabs versus the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

This systematic manipulation of language and ideas fragments the Islamic front, keeping the Ummah occupied with internal disputes while the true enemy expands its influence unchallenged. The situation underscores the critical role of Quranic leadership in correcting the compass and restoring awareness of the original struggle between truth and falsehood—not among the children of the same Ummah.

History as Witness: The Targeting of Islamic Identity

The present cannot be understood without examining history, which offers repeated evidence of attacks on Islamic identity. The Crusades, which spanned two centuries, were more than mere military invasions—they represented a systematic attempt to erase the religious and cultural identity of Muslims, through the destruction of mosques and Islamic landmarks, and the forced imposition of Christianity.

When the Crusades failed militarily, the same project evolved into a new phase: European colonialism. This era targeted the Islamic world by altering educational curricula, reducing religious content, and reviving nationalist and regional divisions to fragment the unity of the Ummah. One of the most enduring consequences was the establishment of the Zionist entity in the heart of the Muslim world—a permanent colonial dagger—while the intellectual war continued through secular elites trained in the West to transmit foreign values and entrench dependency.

Islamic history also bears witness to other tragic episodes, such as the Inquisition in Andalusia, which employed brutal measures to force Muslims to abandon their faith. These historical episodes demonstrate that the war on Islam is not a temporary political struggle but a continuous project aimed at erasing identity and draining the sources of faith. Recognizing this historical continuum is essential for developing contemporary awareness, capable of confronting renewed attacks with modern tools, yet the same enduring spirit.

Cultural Invasion and Soft War: A New Battlefield of Domination

In the age of globalization, wars no longer require massive armies to achieve control; media and culture have become the deadliest weapons in the intellectual invasion project.

Major media platforms today are used to distort the image of Islam, linking it with violence and backwardness, while promoting Western values as the pinnacle of civilization. This distortion operates through selective reporting, exaggeration of negative aspects, and ignoring the luminous contributions of Islamic civilization.

Simultaneously, as previously mentioned, pornography and moral corruption are propagated through films, music, and social media platforms, targeting youth to destabilize their value systems, turning them into individuals devoid of identity, commitment, or a sense of responsibility—apathetic youth who can be manipulated to serve the enemy, resulting in generations disconnected from their cultural roots.

One of the most dangerous tools of soft war is social media, which has become a platform for spreading rumors, instilling despair, manipulating emotions, and collecting personal data to build behavioral models used to control public opinion.

It is a war without smoke, yet it can reshape minds and societies according to the interests of dominant powers, demanding critical awareness and deep faith to shield individuals and communities from this silent and perilous invasion.

Alongside social media, so-called humanitarian organizations exploit the trust granted to them in Arab countries to achieve sinister objectives.

Operating under the humanitarian guise, these organizations often engage in activities that serve political, economic, and cultural agendas, while undermining established social and ethical norms under the pretense of enlightenment or protecting rights and freedoms. The real outcomes destabilize national societies and erode their cultural and moral foundations.

Accusations against certain international organizations have intensified, highlighting their use of humanitarian cover to infiltrate states and communities.

Employees of these organizations may act as conduits for intelligence gathering or orchestrate covert activities serving the interests of specific nations or groups, representing a blatant deviation from the principles of genuine humanitarian work. This pattern has manifested concretely in countries such as Yemen and Sudan.

The Qur’anic Approach to Countering Deception and Struggle

The Qur’an offers a comprehensive framework for confronting the deception and distortion aimed at the Ummah. It clearly defines the nature of enmity in the verse: {And never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with you until you follow their religion}, emphasizing that the struggle is ideological and that the enemy will not relent unless a Muslim abandons their identity and faith.

The Qur’an also instructs believers to be wary of outward appearances; hypocrites may seem virtuous, but they are the enemy—“so beware of them.”

The Qur’an links awareness with action, urging comprehensive preparedness as in the command: {And prepare against them whatever you are able of power…}, while emphasizing patience, steadfastness, and vigilance in facing challenges.

This approach does not merely warn against enemies; it establishes principles of conscious defense and practical action rooted in faith and awareness.

The Qur’anic method promotes building intellectual and moral immunity to protect society from attempts at distortion, while encouraging collective adherence to divine values, which serve as a guarantee of victory and empowerment. In this sense, the Qur’an is not merely a book of worship, but a guide to life, awareness, and confrontation, enabling the Ummah to distinguish between the real struggle of truth versus falsehood and manufactured conflicts, equipping it with insight and discernment in an age of widespread lies and distorted realities.

The Qur’anic Project and a Vision of the Struggle

The contemporary Qur’anic vision is embodied in the Qur’anic Project, beginning with the speeches and lectures of the project’s founder, the martyred leader Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and continuing through the addresses of the current leader of the Qur’anic movement, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. This vision offers a profound reading of the nature of the struggle from a comprehensive faith-based perspective, emphasizing that the true enemies of the Islamic Ummah are the United States and “Israel,” regarded as the epicenter of evil and corruption in the world. The struggle against them is ideological, not merely political, as they lead a comprehensive war against Islam’s values, culture, and ethics.

The project restores the Qur’anic methodology and the faith-based dimension in confronting the enemy, exposing the error of relying on adversaries or forming alliances with them under the pretext of political convenience. It draws its guidance from explicit Qur’anic texts that delineate the nature of the enemy and methods of engagement, such as the verse: {O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies}, establishing a foundational principle governing loyalty and allegiance in Islam.

Furthermore, the project provides resilience against soft war targeting the Ummah from within through media, culture, and education. Cultural invasion is deemed more dangerous than military conquest, as it erodes identity and weakens consciousness without firing a single bullet. The Qur’anic Project links awareness with practical action, calling for economic and cultural boycotts, support for resistance, and the upbringing of generations grounded in values of struggle, dignity, and independence.

This Qur’anic vision offers a systematic framework for understanding contemporary challenges and confronting them with a balanced faith-driven approach, drawing strength from awareness of Allah and trust in His promise: {And it is incumbent upon Us to help the believers}.

Towards Comprehensive Awareness and Effective Action

Understanding the nature of the struggle with the enemies of our Ummah and recognizing their evolving tactics requires the Islamic community to act with comprehensive awareness and a cohesive, practical stance, grounded in the holistic Qur’anic vision.

At its core, this struggle is ideological and existential, and it can only be confronted through a collective return to the Quran, setting aside sectarian and denominational divisions, in order to cultivate broad awareness and raise a generation of Muslims who are not deceived by false slogans.

Practical action is the true measure of faith; faith is not assessed merely by words, but by deeds: through active boycott of everything that serves the enemy, support for resistance, instilling in the next generation a love for jihad, honor, and independence, and rejecting all forms of normalization or submission.

Alongside these actions, hope for victory remains a spiritual pillar inseparable from practical effort, for Allah’s promise of triumph and empowerment to the believers is a true promise that never fails.

Adhering to the Quran, emulating the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, and following the example of the great symbols of Islam, is the path to building a liberating consciousness that safeguards the dignity of the Ummah, equips it to overcome trials, expose falsehoods, and defeat its enemies first in the arena of thought before the battlefield.
