Two citizens from the Al-Thabiti family were killed by gunfire from mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression at a checkpoint in Safir, east of Marib.
A local source reported that the victims’ vehicle was stopped by the mercenary-controlled checkpoint as they were returning from Hadramout Governorate. Following a tense confrontation, the militia opened fire, killing Muhammad Hussein Abduweis Al-Thabti and Ahmed Ali Abduweis Al-Thabti, both residents of Al-Abdiyah District, and abducting their children who were traveling with them.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage among Marib’s tribes, who are demanding that the perpetrators be handed over for trial and face strict retribution for their flagrant assault on innocent civilians.
