Qatar and Egypt called today for the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy’s forces and the deployment of an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip, while Turkey indicated that disarming Hamas is not the first priority for the territory.

Speaking at the Doha Forum, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman said: “We are now at the decisive moment… We cannot consider that a ceasefire has been established. A ceasefire is not complete without a full Israeli withdrawal and the return of stability to Gaza.”

He affirmed that Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, and the United States "are unifying their position to push forward with the next phase” of the Gaza ceasefire plan, noting that “this phase is only a temporary phase from our perspective.”

The Qatari prime minister stressed that “if we are merely solving what happened in the past two years, this is not enough,” calling for a sustainable solution that achieves justice for the Palestinian people.

Abdel Aaty: Rafah Crossing Is Not a Gateway for Displacement

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty, for his part, called for the rapid deployment of an international stabilization force.

He stated during the forum that “we need to deploy this force as quickly as possible on the ground because one of the parties, which is Israel, violates the ceasefire on a daily basis… therefore we need monitors.”

Abdel Aaty reiterated that “the Rafah crossing will not be a gateway for displacement, but only for flooding Gaza with humanitarian and medical aid.”

Fidan: Priority Is Separating Palestinians and Israelis

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan noted that discussions regarding such a force are ongoing, but key issues remain unresolved, including command structure and contributing countries.

He said during his remarks at the forum that the main objective is “separating Palestinians and Israelis,” stressing: “This is our primary goal, and then we can address the remaining issues.”

Responding to a question about the disarmament of Hamas, Fidan stated that “disarmament cannot be the first step in this process. We must put things in their proper context; we must be realistic.”

According to the second phase of the Gaza agreement, the Zionist enemy would withdraw from its current positions, and a transitional authority would govern the Strip alongside the deployment of an international stabilization force.

Some Arab and Muslim countries had previously expressed reservations about participating in the new stabilization force, which could end up confronting Palestinian factions.

Continuing War and Devastation in Gaza

Since 7 October 2023, the Zionist enemy, with U.S. and European support, has continued committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, involving killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and arrests, while ignoring international calls and orders by the International Court of Justice to halt these acts.

The destruction has resulted in more than 241,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, most of them children and women, along with over 11,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed many lives, mostly children, in addition to vast devastation that has wiped most cities and areas of the Strip off the map.
