Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the Imam of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, affirmed that the Palestinian cause and the dangers it faces require actions, not words of condemnation and denunciation.

Speaking on Saturday at the “Covenant for al-Quds: An Arab and Islamic Popular Alignment in Confronting Attempts to Isolate the Resistance and Liquidate Palestinian Rights” conference held in Istanbul, Sabri stressed that Palestine needs the will to implement decisions, protect prisoners, preserve the lives of the people of Gaza and Palestine, and achieve what is aspired to in terms of freedom and independence, while supporting those who work for the Palestinian cause.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque Speaker called for intensifying efforts to support al-Quds and the holy sites, placing Palestine “on our heads,” and moving away from statements of condemnation and denunciation that do not achieve the intended goal.

Sheikh Sabri added that the world must be reminded that the Palestinian people are the rightful owners of the land and possess the will to implement this legitimate right.

He reiterated that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast in al-Quds, and that the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the holy sites form the bond that unites people in fulfilling Allah’s will on this land.
