A Palestinian report documented on Saturday the uprooting of approximately 1,608 olive trees by the Zionist enemy authorities in various areas of the West Bank between December 4 and 11.
The report, published by the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture on its Facebook page, showed a "significant escalation in attacks by settlers and the Israeli army against Palestinian farmers in various West Bank governorates."
The report revealed that the total number of damaged trees reached 1,608 olive trees, including 477 trees in the Hebron Governorate in the southern occupied West Bank.
It explained that the Zionist attacks during that period included bulldozing land, uprooting trees, damaging hundreds of meters of irrigation networks, stealing agricultural equipment, and preventing access to land during the olive harvest season.
It added that the Israeli army also distributed hundreds of demolition notices during the same period, targeting livestock pens and tents, and confiscating dozens of dunams of agricultural land in various areas of the West Bank.
The report's data showed that the attacks focused on agricultural land and fruit trees, reflecting an escalating settlement policy. It noted that the estimated value of the losses amounts to approximately $1.335 million.
The Ministry of Agriculture pointed out that the continued violations threaten Palestinian food security and specifically target the olive sector with the aim of seizing land.
A previous report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission revealed that the Israeli occupation seized 2,800 dunams of Palestinian-owned land during November of last year through orders for "seizure, expropriation, and modification of state land boundaries."
The Authority’s data indicated that the authorities of the usurping Zionist entity have issued a total of 53 orders for the seizure of land for military purposes since the beginning of 2025, in a noticeable intensification of the use of this type of order, which uses the military pretext to control Palestinian lands.
