Across multiple trajectories, the Israeli entity—backed by its supporters—has woven a strategy aimed at encircling the Islamic nation through military force and subjugating it via economic siege, ultimately targeting its deepest core: the Holy Qur’an. The Qur’an is viewed as the source of the Ummah’s unity, the secret of its strength, and the compass of its identity. Accordingly, the enemy has adopted the approach of “soft war,” whose effects accumulate quietly, seeking to dry up spiritual and intellectual sources until the foundational text is removed from the center of action and reduced to a historical document devoid of real presence in life.

This systematic policy has produced a crisis-laden reality within the Ummah. Broad segments have become disconnected from their source of strength, practical engagement with the Holy Qur’an has declined, and with it the ability to confront external domination. Alternatives have found their way into minds, as Western visions were promoted as the “civilized” model, while the Qur’anic vision was portrayed as closed and extremist. With the retreat of a unified reference point, intellectual unity weakened, positions fragmented, and goals scattered—an outcome that serves the Zionist project in its clearest form.

The danger the enemy perceives in the Holy Qur’an lies in its capacity for mobilization and collective action, and in its ability to shape a resistant identity that rejects submission and confronts arrogance. Zionism is convinced that the Holy Qur’an constitutes a comprehensive project for life. From this perspective, targeting it has become a top priority in Zionist–American policies aimed at dismantling the social and political fabric of the region. The premise is clear: marginalizing the Qur’an from the lived reality of the Ummah is the shortest path to subjugation, while the continued governance of life by the divine text makes the enslavement of the Ummah or the manipulation of its will impossible.

Emptying the Qur’anic Text of Its Effectiveness

One of the primary tools of this scheme is transforming the Holy Qur’an into a non-functional text, not invoked in decisive matters. Rather than openly calling for its abandonment, its dynamic content has been emptied by flooding the arena with minor juristic disputes and sterile historical polemics that freeze energies and divert attention from the real enemy and from major principles such as establishing justice, confronting tyranny, and liberating from domination. As agents within the Ummah acquiesced to the Western notion that the Qur’an is merely an individual spiritual book with no role in statecraft or in confronting enemies, the text was excluded from the field of action. In its place, imported intellectual frameworks or forms of “domesticated Islam,” tailored to Western interests, were allowed to prevail.

Among the most dangerous axes of targeting is the imposition of intellectual guardianship over understanding the Qur’an, by linking verses of jihad to concepts of “terrorism” through a broad media campaign managed by Zionist–American tools. The aim is to instill fear of the text itself and push Muslims away from direct, conscious engagement with it. This is complemented by the weakening of the Arabic language, depriving generations of the Qur’an’s deep semantic richness and leaving them captive to superficial, distorted interpretations that strip verses of their liberatory dimension and neutralize them from the Ummah’s central causes.

Cultural Invasion and the War on Consciousness

In the fields of media and culture, the War on Consciousness appears in its clearest form. The arena is saturated with entertainment productions and imported values that reshape taste and behavior, displacing the Holy Qur’an from its position as an ethical and cognitive reference. Over time, the presence of the text is trivialized, and its sanctity is obscured until it is reduced to a heritage symbol rather than a life methodology to be followed.

This scheme cannot be separated from the pivotal American role. Washington manages and finances the War on Consciousness through think tanks and media platforms that reframe a religious discourse emptied of its resistant content. Under the slogan of “countering extremism,” guardianship is imposed on curricula and religious discourse, and pressure is exerted to remove anything interpreted as a call to confront the occupation. At the same time, global platforms restrict conscious Qur’anic content while opening the floodgates to a deluge of distracting Western material.

The matter goes further, extending to providing “legal cover” for insulting the Holy Qur’an in Western capitals—an exposed double standard that reveals the true nature of the Western project.

The Qur’an as a Project for Life and a Weapon of the Nation

Amid this struggle, the reality of the Holy Qur’an emerges as a comprehensive project for life and an inexhaustible source of strength. As emphasized by the Leader Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruddeen al-Houthi, the battle is not a fleeting intellectual disagreement but an existential confrontation between a front that carries the Qur’an and another that seeks to remove it from people’s lives, fully aware that the Ummah’s strength and unity flow from it.

Targeting the Holy Qur’an is an organized attempt to strip the Ummah of its most dangerous weapon: consciousness. The success of this attempt would mean marginalizing central causes, neutralizing capacities for confrontation, and opening the doors wide to Western domination.

The Holy Qur’an is a book of movement and change, revealed in the heart of struggle and addressing humanity as it confronts its greatest questions. From this understanding emerges the Qur’anic project founded by the martyred leader Sayyid Hussein Badruddeen al-Houthi (may Allah be pleased with him), which views the Qur’an as a methodology that organizes life, regulates the relationship between human beings and their Lord, between human beings and themselves, and between human beings and society. It provides practical answers to questions of justice, freedom, dignity, responsibility, and independence.

Within this framework, the martyred leader presented the Holy Qur’an as a living vision that interacts with reality, comprehends its complexities, and establishes a conscious stance toward it—far from improvisation, dependency, or a culture of submission.

In the Yemeni experience, the Qur’anic project emerged as a conscious response to a comprehensive crisis: a crisis of identity, awareness, and subordination to Western projects that had emptied the Ummah of itself and severed it from its sources of strength. The Holy Qur’an thus became the point of departure for restoring self-confidence, redefining friend and enemy, truth and falsehood, victory and defeat.

Accordingly, the Qur’anic project works to build the conscious human being—one who knows why he lives, why he strives, and why he remains patient, drawing his awareness, values, and positions from the Holy Qur’an. Here, faith transforms from a mere emotional state into a driving force for action and influence.

The Qur’an as the Nation’s Safe Haven

In a world where humanity has lost tranquility and societies have sunk into spirals of anxiety, fear, and uncertainty, the Holy Qur’an offers true security—beginning with the security of the heart before the security of geography. It liberates human beings from fear of anything but Allah and grants them a fixed criterion amid a chaos of standards. The Qur’an teaches the Ummah how to stand firm even under siege, and how to transform conflict, sacrifice, and challenges into opportunities for resurgence.

What distinguishes the Qur’anic project is that it does not treat the Holy Qur’an as a partial solution, but as a comprehensive renaissance project. It offers a vision for the economy, politics, media, and the military and security spheres, among all other fields. It also reorders priorities, placing values above interests and principles above immediate gains. In this sense, the Holy Qur’an becomes a roadmap for emerging from the state of disorientation afflicting the Ummah.

From Recitation to Civilizational Testimony

The greatest challenge posed by the Qur’anic project is the transition from reciting letters to reciting positions, from memorizing the text to embodying it in conduct. The Holy Qur’an does not seek a nation that memorizes it and then contradicts it, but a nation that bears witness to it—upon itself and before the world—through behavior, justice, and stance.

In the Yemeni experience, this testimony is manifested in supporting the causes of the Ummah, confronting American–Israeli tyranny, building the nation across various fields, steadfastness, awareness, rejection of submission, and adherence to truth. Here, the Holy Qur’an is embodied as a force that shapes the free human being.

Through the Qur’anic project in Yemen, a long-obscured truth is reaffirmed: when the Ummah returns to its Qur’an with awareness, it cannot be defeated.
