The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine strongly condemned, on Saturday, the announcement by the Zionist entity recognizing the so-called separatist “Republic of Somaliland” as an independent state.
In a press statement, the Popular Front described this recognition as “a new blatant act of aggression targeting the unity of Arab and African states and undermining their national stability, aimed at fueling conflicts and divisions in the strategically vital Horn of Africa region.”
The Front warned that this suspicious recognition carries malicious objectives, including the exploitation of this region to implement plans of “forced displacement” and “uprooting” against the Palestinian people.
It affirmed its solidarity with the Somali people and its support for the unity, territorial integrity, and full sovereignty of Somalia, stressing that any attempt to impose parallel entities serves only the Zionist colonial project in the region.
The Popular Front praised the unified Arab and African stance rejecting this move, calling on Arab and Islamic states and the African Union to escalate confrontation against Zionist infiltration in Arab countries and across the African continent. It urged the expansion of boycott agreements and the fight against normalization in all its forms to block the path of an entity that thrives on chaos, destruction, and division.
The Front renewed its assertion that there can be no security or stability in the region or the world without putting an end to this cancerous Zionist entity and uprooting it from the land of Palestine, noting that the existence of the Zionist entity is the primary source of all forms of instability and regional conflicts.
It also called on the living forces of the Arab and African nations to remain vigilant and to stand as a solid barrier against Zionist and American conspiracies targeting the unity of homelands, emphasizing that the unity of Somalia is an integral part of Arab and African national security.
