Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Wednesday offered its condolences over the martyrdom of “Abu Obeida,” the spokesperson of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, along with a number of senior Al-Qassam commanders.

In a statement published by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC said: “We extend our condolences and congratulations to the Islamic nation, to the oppressed Palestinian people, and to the honorable families of the martyrs, on the martyrdom of the brave and devoted mujahid Abu Obeida, the spokesperson of the Al-Qassam Brigades, alongside members of his family and four other fighters of the Palestinian resistance.”

The statement added: “The martyrdom of these dear ones has embodied the true image of steadfastness, resilience, and the flourishing strength of resistance fighters in confronting the terrorist Zionist entity that kills children. There is no doubt that the path of the martyrs remains alive, and that the roar of Islamic resistance will continue unabated and cannot be extinguished until the liberation of holy Al-Quds.”

The IRGC praised the precise and transparent narration of the Palestinian resistance’s victories delivered by the martyr Abu Obeida, noting that this contributed to confusing and exhausting Zionist propaganda systems seeking to obscure and distort the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance.

It described “this criminal assassination as evidence of the efficiency, dignity, and battlefield success of the Palestinian resistance, and of the failure of the Zionist enemy’s army to confront it, declaring that the future undoubtedly belongs to the resistance."

The IRGC also highlighted the “creative integration between the battlefield and the narrative within the resistance, led by officers of the soft war arena," affirming that this has contributed to expanding and strengthening the “resistance discourse” among peoples worldwide, particularly in Europe and the United States, and to the growth of an international movement opposing injustice.

The statement concluded by saying: “As the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps honors the memory, names, and path of the martyrs of Al-Quds, especially the martyrs of the Palestinian Islamic resistance, it renews its commitment to continue their path until the complete liberation of holy Al-Quds and the removal of the occupying and usurping Zionist entity from this sacred land.”
