The Zionist enemy’s army on Wednesday demolished 25 residential buildings housing Palestinian families in a refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.

According to Agence France-Presse, Israeli bulldozers and military vehicles began the demolition operations early in the morning, generating thick clouds of dust. The targeted buildings are located in Nur Shams Camp, which frequently witnesses clashes between Palestinians and Zionist forces.

Reports indicate that the demolished buildings were home to approximately 100 Palestinian families. Previous reports noted that residents had to evacuate their belongings without having alternative housing options available.

The demolitions are part of a broader Zionist strategy aimed at facilitating the entry of military vehicles into densely populated camps in the West Bank, occupied since 1967.

The Israeli enemy and settlers continue their attacks on Palestinians and their properties in the occupied West Bank, as part of ongoing efforts to seize land and expand settlements. In this context, UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank in mid-December, noting that it had reached its highest level since 2017.
