The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas on Wednesday described reports in Zionist media about the Zionist enemy's government’s intention to cancel the licenses of dozens of international relief organizations in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip as a serious escalation and a blatant disregard for the international community and the humanitarian system.
In a press statement, Hamas said this move is part of the Zionist entity’s effort to politicize humanitarian work and turn it into a tool of extortion against the Palestinian people, who are already suffering from a humanitarian catastrophe created by the occupier, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas called on the international community, the United Nations, and all human rights and humanitarian organizations to act urgently to condemn this behavior and pressure the Zionist enemy's government and its Prime Minister—war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court, Benjamin Netanyahu—to reverse this policy. The movement emphasized that humanitarian aid must not be used as a weapon to starve or perpetuate the suffering of the Palestinian people, which constitutes a clear violation of international law.
Since 7 October 2023, the Zionist entity—with U.S. and European support—has continued committing acts of genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and arrests, ignoring international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt these crimes.
This genocide has resulted in the deaths and injuries of more than 241,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, over 11,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands of displaced people, famine claiming many lives—mostly children—and widespread destruction that has erased most cities and areas of the Gaza Strip from the map.
