The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority warned on Wednesday about alarming developments in the southern Jenin area of the northern occupied West Bank, as the Zionist army begins reconstructing a permanent military presence at the evacuated settlement site of Sanur.

Amir Dawood, Director of Documentation and Publications at the authority, told Quds Press that the Zionist enemy seeks to revive the old military infrastructure in Sanur, which previously housed a large military base before its evacuation in 2005.

Dawood revealed that official Zionist sources indicate a decision to relocate the “Menashe Brigade,” responsible for northern West Bank operations, from its traditional bases in the Jordan Valley to Sanur, effectively turning the area into a “central launch base” for military operations.

He added that this new positioning aims to provide direct protection for the expanding settlement project, including the “legalization of six new outposts” in addition to the four settlements evacuated under the 2005 disengagement plan.

Dawood noted that the Israeli entity continues to use the “security pretext” that emerged after 1967 to justify reoccupation of northern West Bank areas, despite a relative decline in settlement activity over the past two decades.

He stressed that these measures—from rebuilding the Sanur base to bulldozing Jenin Camp—align with the so-called “Decisive Plan” promoted by the religious Zionist current led by the Criminal Bezalel Smotrich, which aims to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian political entity and reduce Palestinians to “residents without political rights.”

Dawood also pointed out that the plan is being implemented at an accelerated pace, taking advantage of global distraction with regional developments.
