Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported on Monday that its armed forces achieved battlefield advances on several axes and inflicted heavy losses in personnel and equipment on Ukrainian forces over the past 24 hours.

In its daily statement published on the Telegram platform, the ministry said that the Sever (North), Zapad (West), Yug (South), Tsentr (Center), Vostok (East), and Dnipro force groups were able to improve their positions along the front line and advance deep into Ukrainian defenses in the regions of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk.

According to the ministry, more than 1,300 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in a single day. Russian forces also destroyed a tank, several armored personnel carriers — including a U.S.-made Stryker — dozens of military vehicles, Western-made field artillery pieces, as well as ammunition depots and electronic warfare stations.

The ministry added that Russian air, missile, and artillery forces carried out strikes on energy facilities serving Ukrainian forces, ammunition depots, drone assembly areas, and locations of troop concentrations and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

It noted that air defense systems shot down two guided aerial bombs and 109 fixed-wing drones, while the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned boat in the central Black Sea.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also stated that total Ukrainian losses since the start of what it describes as the special military operation include hundreds of aircraft and helicopters, more than 27,000 tanks and armored vehicles, in addition to tens of thousands of artillery pieces and military vehicles.
