The “Redaa” or "Deterrent" Unit, the field wing of Resistance Security in the Gaza Strip, announced on Wednesday the failure of attempts to form proxy gangs in the Strip since their initial launch.
In a statement, the unit explained that public awareness was the decisive factor in thwarting the occupation’s plans aimed at spreading chaos and undermining the internal front.
The unit indicated that the next phase will focus on purging the Gaza Strip of the remnants of proxy gangs, stressing that the role of these groups is coming to an end and that holding those involved accountable is only a matter of time.
“Redaa” affirmed that it is closely monitoring this file and called on members of proxy gangs to turn themselves in before it is too late and to regularize their status within the applicable legal frameworks.
In the same context, the unit praised the initiative of the families of some of those involved to hand over their sons and cooperate with the relevant authorities to settle their security files in a manner that does not conflict with the law, considering this a responsible step that serves community peace and protects the internal front.
Since October 7, 2023, Zionist enemy forces, with American and European support, have carried out a genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and arrest, while ignoring international appeals and orders by the International Court of Justice to halt the actions.
The genocide has resulted in more than 242,000 Palestinians killed and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 11,000 missing, hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and famine that has claimed many lives, as well as widespread destruction and the erasure of most cities and areas of the Strip from the map.
