The spokesperson for the Iranian army, Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia, announced that Iran’s armed forces are “prepared to confront any scenario the enemy may choose,” stressing that the country is ready for war if it is imposed upon it.
In a statement to the Defense Press Agency, Akrami Nia said that U.S. President Donald Trump must “choose between reconciliation or war,” warning that any military confrontation “would encompass the entire geography of the region, and all U.S. bases, from the occupied territories all the way to the waters of the Gulf.”
He added that the ability of Iranian armed forces’ firepower to reach U.S. bases is “an easy matter,” arguing that this “increases their points of vulnerability.” He stressed that Tehran’s message is “clear and repeated,” namely full readiness to defend Iran with “firmness and seriousness.”
In the same context, the head of the Iranian Journalists’ Union, Mashallah Shamsolvaezin, said in a special interview with Al Mayadeen yesterday that Iran is more prepared militarily than diplomatically, and that its finger is on the trigger. He also confirmed that Iranian public opinion is moving “once again toward unity at this stage.”
For his part, the grandson of Imam Khomeini, Seyyed Ali Ahmad Khomeini, said in a special interview with Al Mayadeen yesterday that “the Americans will die and will not see our humiliation, nor the humiliation of our people, nor the humiliation of our country… just as others died before.” He emphasized that the Iranian people are not afraid, remain steadfast, and are defending what is right and their country.
