This Thursday morning, the Rafah land border crossing in southern Gaza was opened in both directions to allow the departure of patients and humanitarian cases, as well as the return of stranded individuals to Gaza.
Red Crescent spokesperson Raed Al-Nemss stated that the fourth batch of humanitarian cases, including patients, the injured, and those in need of medical attention within the association, was prepared and departed toward the Rafah crossing for travel.
Zionist authorities had prevented the departure of patients and the injured via Rafah on Wednesday after informing the World Health Organization office that the coordination for the third batch, previously scheduled to leave for treatment, had been canceled.
Since the crossing reopened on Monday, only 50 patients and injured individuals, along with their companions, have been able to leave. On the first day, 7 patients and their companions departed, followed by 16 more the next day, despite approximately 18,500 patients and injured individuals requiring medical treatment abroad.
