The Palestinian Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Commission, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, and the Al-Dameer Foundation for Prisoners’ Care and Human Rights announced that the number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli enemy prisons has exceeded 9,300 as of the beginning of February.

In a joint statement issued on Thursday, the organizations explained that these figures are based on information provided by prisoners’ institutions, as well as data released by the Israeli Prison Service up to February 2026.

The statement noted that among the prisoners are 56 women, including two minors, while the number of child prisoners stands at 350, held in Megiddo and Ofer prisons. The classification also includes Arab detainees from Lebanon and Syria.

The organizations highlighted that the number of administrative detainees reached 3,358, the highest proportion compared to sentenced and arrested prisoners, in addition to those classified as so-called “unlawful combatants.”

According to the prisoner institutions, the number of detainees labeled by the Israeli enemy entity as “unlawful combatants” is 1,249. The statement clarified that this figure does not include all Gaza detainees held in Zionist military camps who are also classified under this category.
